Technology develops hyper growth, more and more museums in the world adopt multimedia for their exhibits, Museum Multimedia is new and wide applied technology in museum, that comprises sounds, visions, touches, light, and animations and other interactive equipments.



Technology develops hyper growth, more and more museums in the world adopt multimedia for their exhibits, Museum Multimedia is new and wide applied technology in museum, that comprises sounds, visions, touches, light, and animations and other interactive equipments.
Multimedia techniques can apply in navigations, exhibits, news and information, historic resources, tutorials, report, etc. in museum. Multimedia forms can be texts, graphics, audios, videos, and other special files and so on.

Museum Multimedia technology exist in most of countries in the world, but not mass of museums to start to apply, or only few multimedia applications.
One of most famous example is Eternal Gandhi Museum Multimedia.



The Eternal Gandhi Multimedia Museum is a digital multimedia museum established in 2005, located at Gandhi Smriti, the erstwhile Birla House in India. There are more than 40 exhibits are showed through multimedia technologies.


There are some more Irish museums using multimedia technology to help to exhibit, including IMMA,,, etc.

IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art)
IMMA is Ireland’s leading national institution exhibiting and collecting modern and contemporary art. This museum opened in 1991 and located in Dublin 8. In IMMA, some exhibits are digital ones with video and audio art.



National Museum of Ireland of Decorative Arts& History is located Dublin 7, where the exhibits includes weaponry, furniture, silver, ceramics and glassware, and examples of Folklife and costume. In this museum, there are plenty of computers for customer to check and explore the exhibits’ information.

Ulster Museum
Ulster Museum re-opened to the public on 22 October 2009, on its 80th anniversary, it is located in the Botanic Garden in Belfast, it’s the largest museum in north Ireland.
The reopened museum adopts more multimedia to exhibit with unique design. The costumer experience will be much more abundant and interesting.
